The name of this beer gives an interesting hint to what its about. What does rebel mean? Is it someone rebelling against their birth right? Fighting the system?
Or if born into a rebel family, can a rebel be something else less radical? A rebel against rebellion? Its not like kolsch is a radical type of beer like ipa was 20 years ago or sour was just a few years ago.
However this beer is a kolsch that seems kind of pilsnerish with its crispness. It doesn’t have the syrupyness of some heavier kolschs. Could it be an uppity blond? Borderline hefeweizzen with a small hint of banana?
All of the above which makes it a pretty nice drinking beer especially in the summer. Rebel on!!
