I’ll start by saying that I do typically like pumpkin ales. Some use the ingredient as a layer in a complex hopefully malty brew. Its not too sweet like a some fruit beers. It lends itself to malty flavors.
This pumpkin ale is not like that. You get pumpkin up front, in the middle and in the end. Additionally you get it beaten on your head hard with . . . wait for it. . . pumpkin!
Did I mention this beer is very pumpkin forward? The ale part of this is mild and simple. There is effectively one layer in this beer and that is pumpkin!
